Legal information that you need: Book Jewelry is a Trade Mark and our attorney, in addition to us, asks that you take the precautions needed to spare you unnecessary expense and embarrassment. All products and designs, as well as the packaging designs are the property of "Book Jewelry". As such all rights on all products before and after sales are retained by the original parent company, "Book Jewelry". The trade mark information: Book Jewelry, Original Book Jewelry, Book Jewelry Bookmarks, the Book Jewelry Logo, Book Marks to Match Your Personality, and Book Jewelry Product Names are Book Jewelry trademarks. © 2004-2014 Book Jewelry, Inc. All rights reserved. Materials contained on this Web site may not be used or reproduced without written permission from Book Jewelry, Inc. The website design and photos were done by "Todd Goegebuer Media" and "Book Jewelry", and all rights are reserved for same. As such no part of the website or the product may be reproduced, or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic, mechanical, or other forms of recording without the prior written permission of copyright holders. Unauthorized use of these materials is a violation of United States copyright laws. These laws will be strictly enforced. Custom designs do include any new design to the existing design created by the Artist to the Buyers specifications. The Artist retains and reserves all rights to all customized products and packaging, even when the customer pays a customization fee. Any customization fee is nothing more than a "special" order and does not change the Artist's rights, patent or ownership. A derivative design or (“Work”) is a custom design created by the Artist based upon a rendering or interpretation of the original design idea supplied by the buyer. The Buyer’s request to purchase original (“Work”) from the Artist indicates that the Artist: 1. Has the right to authorize the work. 2. Does authorize the work. 3. And the Buyer understands and acknowledges that the Artist will retain and own all rights to the work. 4. As such this indemnifies the Seller and Artist from any and all costs which may result from any claim against the Seller or Artist for illegal or inappropriate use of the Original to create work. 5. This in no way affects, nor diminishes the ownership or rights of the owner of the rights to the Original. In fact it does protect and preserve the Artist’s ownership and rights to requested work. 6. As an example, but not limited to this example, a buyer orders a charm representing a custom Work which is a logo. Further suppose a Buyer wants to ask that colors which represent their company or organization be used. This would mean: The Artist has the unlimited right to use the “Work” for any other purpose. Unless clear, and specific written and a signed contract is presented that changes this ongoing given understanding. Limited use licenses are available for sale on some designs. Limited use permissions may be granted in certain circumstances, but to do so one must contact us at info@bookjewelry.com for more information regarding how to do licensing and permission. Any completion of a purchase results in the Buyer understanding and the acceptance of all of the above agreements.
